Ep2 Art

Opening a low-key brick-and-mortar gallery in Troy, NY on August 14 — the Strange Art event. Right now: Imaginarium Albany builds, studio work, and a live peek when I’m on air.

Welcome to Ep2 Art

I'm Gino — online as Ep2Art, sometimes signed EPII or Gene on older work going back to 1991. I'm based in the Capital Region: Albany, Rensselaer County, and studio time that often ties back to Troy, NY. I call myself an artistic engineer because that's what it feels like in practice — half invention, half craft, with a wrench never far from the paint table.

This website is my studio out loud. The gallery is organized by album so you can follow a body of work from first sketch to finished piece — leaf prints, cyan-line geometry like Galexy Far, welded scrap-metal figures, giant mushroom builds, and collaborations with other Capital Region artists. The articles go deeper: process notes, pricing honesty, what welding taught me about composition, and the messy middle of making things in more than one medium.

I'm opening a low-key brick-and-mortar Ep2 Art gallery in Troy on August 14 — the Strange Art event. Until the doors are open, you'll find current work here, on the live stream when I'm on air, and through the Misfit Collective — free membership for live chat, movie nights, and a growing crew of artists and makers in the region.

Beyond the canvas: shop & commissions (including Crafts by Randi and the 3D Print Shop), Genius Repair for small engines and automotive work, and Imaginarium Albany builds like Mushy-Lisa — the giant mushroom sculpture you'll see throughout the gallery.
